For anyone who has a soft spot for cassette's, our latest album Shifting Sands is being released on limited edition cassette by Bylec-tum Productions in Italy. The cassette features all of the tracks from the new album along with some bonus tracks taken from our first two ep's. On top of this, the tape will feature alternative artwork (due to licensing problems with the shifting sands cd artwork).

February was a busy month for Parhelia which saw the release of our first album 'Shifting Sands'. On top of this we played live 4 times in a week supporting God Is An Astronaut in Cork and Anathema in Dublin, Cork & Belfast. We'd like to extend our thanks to everyone who has bought our cd so far and all those who've seen us live over the past few weeks.
Also a big thanks goes out to the promoters who invited us to play these show's, so if you've got 5 minutes check out their sites to see what else they have in store for 2009.

Parhelia will be supporting Anathema on Friday 27th February in The Button Factory, Dublin and Saturday 28th February in the Cypress Avenue, Cork. Again, if you're planning on dropping in to these gig's make sure to book your tickets well in advance, it's been more than a few years since Anathema visited Ireland so I'd expect these gig's to sell out.

At last we've managed to get the remaining time and money to finish off the recording, mixing and mastering of the new cd. Check back next week for some samples of the finished product.
Artwork, Layout & Duplication are another matter but, all going plan, the cd will be with us by April 2009 if not earlier.
The album will be called Shifting Sands and will contain 6 new tracks clocking in at around 40 minutes in total.
A Digital Download service is now available from this site. All of our songs can be downloaded for €0.99 per song, or special prices for all songs from a particular cd. Each song is encoded in high quality mp3 format and you can listen to a 30 second sample of the song before you buy it.
